About Dr. W.Michael Gazdar

In addition to his professional athletes, he cares for patients who have been involved in auto accidents, work-related injuries and who simply desire general health and well being. He treats many children for spinal problems, which can lead to a variety of conditions including scoliosis, asthma, hyperactivity, bedwetting and headaches.

Dr. Gazdar is a 1989 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West, where he received the prestigious Alumni of the Year award in 1995, and where he also taught chiropractic technique from 1989-2006. He has also lectured on chiropractic throughout the United States and in Japan. Dr. Gazdar is the author of the best selling book on chiropractic for the lay public called Taking Your Back to the Future, available in major bookstores and though Amazon.com, which has sold over 50,000 copies. His first novel, The Lost El Dorado, is due to be released in the Fall of 2007.

Dr. Gazdar uses a variety of very gentle chiropractic techniques to adjust his patients including, Chiropractic Biophysics, Activator, Diversified and the Palmer Method. He also uses Neuromuscular Reeducation therapies.

While maintaining a full time, booming chiropractic practice in Walnut Creek, Ca., Dr. Michael Gazdar is on the faculty of Life Chiropractic College West as a part time instructor in Chiropractic Technique. He also runs weekend seminars for both students and postgraduate chiropractors.

Holding a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.) credential, and with an extensive sports background himself, he has treated serious athletes across a spectrum of sporting events.

Dr. Gazdar has lived in the San Francisco Bay area all his life. He graduated from Richmond High School in 1976, attended Diablo Valley College, and earned a B. A. Degree in psychology from U. C. Berkeley in 1984. He did Master's work in clinical psychology at Cal State, Hayward. He and his wife, Teri, have been married since 1991. They have three children.
